50 minutes South of Adelaide. Just past McLaren Vale on the Adelaide side of Mt Compass next to Pages Flat. Set on 500 acres with 3.5km of private valley - no other on-site activities, no traffic and no light pollution. We are not open to the public.   


Our 2022 venue hire fee of $10,000 (plus GST) is inexpensive when you consider the extensive range and quality of what we provide. Our inclusions are vastly superior to other hire items and our list is growing. Caterers alone will reveal the hidden costs that emerge as a result of booking a less well-equipped venue…


2023 venue hire fee is $12,000 plus the GST

  • We help you design and setup to create a truly memorable wedding. Brides will typically visit our venue on six or more occasions and become treated as family. Day-Before set up and rehearsals
  • Exclusive use of venue on your day with flexible access prior to and following function
  • Multiple ceremony sites including lakeside. 40 timber ceremony chairs, signing table and chairs, vintage rugs, large market umbrellas, lakeside bar and musician’s platform with power. We have two undercover inclement weather ceremony options avoiding the stress and cost of last-minute marquee hire 
  • Alternative wedding arbours
  • Party game lawn and games
  • Vine covered alfresco terrace for canapés. Sunsets down the valley with fairy light canopy
  • Reception in the wool shed – no late minute marquees required (saving $$$)
  • Insulated wool shed with natural light, ventilation and heating
  • Speciality lighting, indoors and out
  • Sound system indoors and out, cordless microphone
  • Covered beer garden with large BBQ over a fire pit
  • Wide natural timber tables (including 7metre long Harvest tables), timber X-back chairs (with padded rattan bases) for 150 guests plus plates, glassware and cutlery
  • Linen and hessian table runners, centrepieces, ceramic vases and candle stick holders
  • Seating plan board and easel, table numbers, wishing wells, signage etc
  • Toddler tables and chairs, high chairs and cots
  • For cocktail style events a choice of bar height tables, stools, vintage rugs and accessories
  • Quirky chill-out areas including furniture
  • Wedding prep room with good natural lighting, mirrors, sink, fridge and other necessities.  
  • Vast array of vintage styling aids & galvanised tubs, buckets and baths, dramatic dried floral arrangements plus seasonal native vegetation available
  • Mobile bars – indoors & out, freezers for ice, large display fridges and mobile cool room
  • Ice-cream cart, cake and desert tables
  • Lavazza Expresso machine and coffee
  • 1st Aid station including defibrillator 
  • Well-equipped caterer’s facilities with commercial dishwasher
  • 10m x 10m central dance floor plus staging area for a live band or DJ
  • Guests up to 200 (150 for sit down reception)
  • BYO catering and beverages, couples to provide own RSA bar staff to manage the Bar (staff normally provided by caterer)
  • Bridal bathroom plus ladies powder room; couple to hire 3 additional toilets (we can organise)
  • Lakeside helipad for that surprise arrival
  • Extra late curfew available by negotiation
  • List of preferred suppliers who understand how to make the most out of our venue
